| permalink My ex-colleague, Lip Kee was playing at a Malaysian-made movie launch yesterday on 22nd November 2006 (Wednesday). The movie is called Ciplak which opens today (23/11/06). His band, Soft Touch was the first band to kick start the event. The other bands who were playing that night were Triple6poser, Dragon Red and Y2K. They're all on the OST of the movie, Ciplak. Sharon Lim & her younger sis, Vivian were there too at Laundry cuz their brother, Eddy was playing there that night. Eddy's the lead vocalist in Triple6poser. So Sharon, Viv, Tammy & I sat on one couch juz next to the stage where the musicians would be performing. Had a great time there in Laundry, enjoying the live music with my friends. Yay! =) I won a Ciplak T-shirt too! Hehehe! Wanted to buy some CDs of the bands who played that night. But since I had no cash on me, so I didn't. Poor me! Live music @ Laundry, Curve Better lighting for camwhoring @ Curve toilet, haha! Do we look drunk? A candid shot of us walking from the toilet to Starbucks Kevin's juz been ciplak-ed! Hehehe! Me at work earlier yesterday before hitting Laundry at night with my girlfriend, Tammy

Oh, he's SOOOO HOT!!! :P~~~ Excellent choreography! Enjoyed the movie tho predictable... but what suspense is there in an inspring dance movie anyway?! :P So it's okay to be predictable. After that, we juz yum char with Tammy somewhere... forgot da place liao :)
| permalink The FIGO will end tomorrow (9th November 2006). The pics below were taken in FIGO 2006 held in KL Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur during the days I was working there. Esther & I ciplak-ing the kawaii pose :P Check out the Swiss chocolate fountain... sinful! Hehe! My sweet strawberry dipped in sinfully sweet Swiss chocolate! Yummy! The breakfast that cost me RM16.40! Lovely, super TOP sales, Jenny & I Me in my new shorter hair cut... Didn't blowdry my hair today, that's why it's ugly! Met the Koreans from Medison (our parent company) in FIGO. Nukky Shin was as charming as ever! Met him a couple of times before - once in FMGC during an ultrasound course and once more in Singapore for OGSS last year. He's the Regional Sales Manager in Asia for Medison. Chris Kim is the Clinical Manager (a.k.a. professional sonographer) in Medison for Northeast Asia. And lastly, Binie Kim is... uhhh... I dunno what's her post in Medison cuz I didn't manage to get hold of her business call card before she left for Korea. Chris is really sweet & nice though she didn't appear friendly in the first impression. I really like her. Too bad I didn't have the guts to ask her for a pic together. Hehe. I didn't want he to think I was lesbo anyway! :P Why FIGO drove me insane was bcoz my feet and legs hurt like mad cuz of all the standing and walking around, talking to potential customers since sunday till today. Also, the core reason of my temporary insanity was caused by Kaz. Haha! :P She couldn't handle the stress of FIGO and she was throwing her temper & venting anger out on us poor souls - the juniors, namely me, Esther & Kim Seng. But here was the ultimate cause! You see, we had pregnant patients over for the live demonstrations of our ultrasound machines. And we were supposed to pay the patients RM40 each. Owing to the fact that we didn't have enough Exhibitor passes and boring stingy bosses didn't wanna fork out any cash to buy the passes (RM266 per tag), Kaz scheduled us to work on certain days only. So on Tuesday (7th Nov 2006), Esther & Kim Seng worked half day only. And on Wednesday (8th Nov 2006), I was supposed to work in the morning and Dev to take on my shift after lunch. Razi was supposed to work full day. So Kaz gave me RM80 to pay to Tuesday evening patient and Wednesday morning patient (I was only working half day on Wednesday) and she gave RM40 to Razi for him to pay Wednesday evening patient (he was working full day on Wednesday). Dunno how somewhere along the communication lines, she went and told Razi to pay for Wednesday morning patient. So Razi & I ended up paying to the same patient! Hah! What a BIG joke! And then alot of things happened and she wanted the RM40 back. Bcoz I didn't want any disputes between her, Razi, Kana and I, I told her I'd pay her. I became miserable after telling her cuz I didn't want ppl to think that I took the RM40 and now I was looking for ways to vomit the cash out again! So Jenny spoke to me on the phone and advised me about it. So I did what Jenny told me to do. I wrote Kaz an email and CC-ed my bosses. Here's a sample of my email... hehehe... Dear Kaz, I've given a deep thought about what has happened at FIGO. And I thought why should I take the blame when it's clearly not my fault? You gave me RM80 to pay 2 patients for Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning (RM40 each) and clearly that was what I did. I was working full day on Tuesday and half day on Wednesday. I have already paid both patients and I did nothing wrong. I juz did as I was told by you. I really dunno what you told Razi and when to pay his RM40 to the patient. That's between the both of you. But I remember clearly that you told me to pay Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning. I shouldn't pay for Wednesday evening as I was supposed to work only half day on Wednesday. It'd be preposterous if you said you told me to pay for Wednesday evening. No doubt RM40 is a small amount of money and I don't mind paying it but I juz thought it's not the amount in question. I have my dignity, credibility and reputation on the line. If you dun believe me, you can call up the patient's husband and ask him. I have paid the RM40 to her. You have his name card cuz I saw him giving it to you at FIGO. His name is En. Azman. His office number is 03-2333 2888. I juz want everything to be clear & open so that there'll be no disputes. I enjoy working in Gideons very much and I don't want small things like this get in my way. Thank you. Sincerely,Rachel Toh. And then she replied with... Maybe miscommunication from my side then - I take the full blame and will carry the loss of RM 40. I would like Gideons manangement to note that this will be the LAST time that I will ever pay out of my private savings for any company related expenses in future. I can not afford such losses in the future. Thanks, Kaz Jenny saved my day! Thank you so much! At least I wouldn't be blamed for things that weren't my fault anyway! Hip hip hurray! Goodbye FIGO 2006!

FIGO 2006 driving me insane!
FIGO 2006 here I come!
And then I went off for work in the KL Convention Centre. Felt so tired after work. Took the LRT back with Kim Seng & Esther (my Gideons colleagues) & my boss, Mr. Lee. Feet hurt like mad but I actually enjoyed the exhibition as I had the chance to meet the various delegates from all over the world. There were approximately 8000 doctors worldwide who had registered for FIGO 2006.

Guess who I saw there at the cocktail party? Alda was there playing in the live band (he's Lip Kee's friend cum bandmate who plays bass). What a small small world! =) I didn't say hi though cuz he was playing then. After staying for an hour or so, I decided to go home. And since Mr. Lee wanted to stay on cuz there was free flow of red wine, he allowed me to take his mpv back to his house and get my car and head on home. Phew! That was good! =) Below is a pic of me driving home alone in Mr. Lee's mpv on Federal Highway. I opened the sunroof to enjoy some night breeze though you can't see that in the pic. Haha!
