Was almost late for work today. But I managed to get there on time. Had Monday meeting as usual. Had a tiff with Kaz today (our new technical manager who is an ang moh) because of some obscurity about commission of the UH Cardiac case. This was because I knew Shook Lin was gonna resign soon (she was gonna hand in the letter today) and prior to this, she had been assigned to handle the Cardiac case with me as her learning point. And today, during the Monday meeting, this stupid Wee Loong announced that for all government tenders, only 1% commission will be issued to the product specialist, that is, after deducting the Bumiputra agent's fee from the selling price. And in my case, that 1% had to be shared between Shook Lin & I cuz we were supposed to handle this UH case together. And knowing that Shook Lin was leaving, the company will definitely eat up her half, leaving me with only 0.5% commission for the hard work that I would end up doing (i.e. carrying the dumb ultrasound system to & fro the demo location, performing demo, doing tender shit, etc). So I juz thought to myself, this 0.5% wasn't worth the hassle & trouble that I would be going thru. So I voiced out my unhappiness to Kaz and she refused to talk about it. Ok fine! So I juz walked out of the office and left for UH. I only wanted her to state everything clearly before I begin the demo & impending work on this UH Cardiac case to avoid future dispute. I mean, I certainly do not want the Kangar case to repeat itself where I sorta had a dispute with Regina about the commission. Sigh! Long story! I was juz simply furious with Kaz because of the way she handled this. Or should I say because of the way she didn't handle this. She juz ignored me. What kinda attitude was that?! Fine! Whatever! *($^%&~!*($%*(^&@!
Had a demo earlier today for SA8000Live Prime at the Cardiac Department in University Hospital in PJ. Was there with my colleagues, Wei Hau (senior engineer) & Shook Lin (soon-to-be ex-colleague in the sales team). Had brunch together in the outdoor cafeteria in UH. The food wasn't really tasty but we were so hungry & desperate we didn't have a choice. Haha!
After that, I rushed off to Jalan Ampang, KL to pick my mom up from the Saudi Arabia embassy to send her home. Although my mom said she could take the cab back, I insisted that I would send her back. And fortunately, I did cuz it poured heavily in KL on our journey back. God bless my mom! She collected her Visa already, yay! When we reached Klang, I took her to Oldtown Kopitiam in Bukit Tinggi to have her late lunch. On our way home, we saw a traffic light and a road sign near our place badly dented and had been uprooted probably due to an accident which occurred prior to this. Was waiting at my traffic light, so I managed to capture the fallen traffic light & road sign from my point of view.
